- President Duterte has supporters from different groups, and celebrities are no exception
- During his trip to Vietnam to meet the Filipino community, model and actress, Heart Evangelista went with them
- She also met the President before the Vietnam trip where she gushed at his being "ordinary"
Mocha Uson, Aiza Seguerra, Ogie Diaz and Ai Ai Delas Alas have been identified as strong Duterte supporters who defend the President’s every act. You may notice the existence of similar traits among them, but one surprising name has joined the ranks – drumroll please! It’s no other than the ever beautiful wife of Sen. Chiz Escudero – Heart Evangelista!
Yes, Heart Evangelista seemed to have forged alliances with President Duterte. Although her husband is being painted as part of the opposition, one who is against the policies of the President, he is among the senators who were handpicked to go to Vietnam with Duterte, the other one is obviously, Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano, Duterte’s running mate during the 2016 Presidential elections.
The President went to Hanoi, Vietnam to meet the Filipino community.
In his speech, the President declared that the joint drills between the Philippines and the US will be the last because China doesn't like it.
Although the President was quoted verbatim by several news outfits, his Foreign Affairs Secretary Perfecto Yasay said he didn’t hear the President say that but later on went to explain that what the President was trying to say was only for this year.
As for Heart Evangelista, she looked happy that she was with the President’s delegation for Vietnam. In the picture, Heart however didn’t do the famous Duterte fist while the rest were busy showing their fists in solidarity with the President.
Heart previously met the President where she had nothing but praises for the guy.
She said that she was initially nervous at the prospect of meeting Duterte; however, when she finally did, she said that he was gracious and nice, and that he was simply an ordinary man.
