TV5 president and CEO Noel Lorenzana, manager Betchay Vidanes, Jasmine Curtis-Smith, and TV5 chief content entertainment officer Wilma Galvante pose for the media during a contract signing ceremony in 2013. Here she signed a three-year contract.

With actresses Alex Gonzaga, Arci Muñoz, and Ritz Azul leaving TV 5 to finally join ABS-CBN, Jasmine Curtis-Smith expressed that she will stand firm with her current network.

"At the end of the day, it's where they find happiness and where they find work...Ako naman, I'm happy with where I stand. I'm enjoying everything here in TV5. I've got a very open mind in terms of diyan sa mga network,” Jasmine told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) when asked during the launch of Digital 5 Studio's new contents last April 19.

(As for me, I'm happy with where I stand. ...I've got a very open mind in terms of network.)

As she shared her plans of staying with TV 5, Jasmine was also very vocal that she doesn't want to be involved in any network war.

"I think it's so silly to begin with. You only got yourself to compete with, di ba? If you wanna be better, don't compete with others, compete with yourself. I think that's what we've been doing with TV5.” (You only got yourself to compete with, right?)

She is very pleased with the responses which Forever Sucks is getting, a short and entertaining YouTube series she does for Digital 5 Studio. Jasmine thinks it is really suited for today's audience and adds how she really enjoyed doing the project.

“It feels great because there's automatic feedback every time we release an episode even if we didn't promote it," Jasmine said.

"It feels awesome kasi alam mong sinusuportahan nila yung iyong pinagpupuyatan. Na-enjoy din namin siya, it’s even more rewarding. Kasi, other than us enjoying ourselves on the set, having feedback is a whole different feeling of satisfaction.”

(It feels great because you know they support what you worked hard for. We also enjoyed doing it, it’s even more rewarding. Because other than us enjoying ourselves on the set, having feedback is a whole different feeling of satisfaction.)

At the moment, she wants to focus on her work rather than think of any other plans. Although her contract with TV5 will be ending this year, Jasmine just aims to give her 100% in everything she does for the network.
