In countries where religious organizations dominate public discourse on sexuality, gender role and life principles, progressive views are most of the time frowned upon.

While many liberal democracies around the world have achieved so much in trying to fight against barbaric beliefs and practices, the battle for other nations will still be bloody.

While several legislation have been made to counter gender stereotype, there are still stigma surrounding Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) relationships.

In the Philippines, where the dominant religion frowns upon homosexual acts and relationships, gender stereotype is a difficult battle LGBT lobbyists fight.

If you're born a man, you are expected to follow the path of manhood. That is your favorite color should be blue and not pink. Your profession should be masculine and you can't go the other way. This police office wanted to take a shot at breaking that notion.
