An angry netizen expressed her sentiments regarding the lewd comments that turned into somewhat like a trend on Facebook.
A certain Meiko Montefalco posted a video on her Facebook page, criticizing men who are commenting malicious statements appearing on her Facebook timeline.
Montefalco said: “Actually, kakagising ko lang ano. So syempre, nag-Facebook muna ako… At nakita ko nanaman ‘tong isa sa mga bagay sa Facebook na bwisit na bwisit ako. Etong mga lalake na ‘to na nagco-comment kapag kunyari yung isang kaibigan nila merong in-add na babae.”
(Actually, I just woke up. So apparently, I checked my Facebook... And again, I saw this one thing that really annoys me on Facebook. These guys who post comments whenever one of their friends just added a girl.)
She mentioned that these "rude guys" comment on their friends' recent friend notification with things like “wasak ang bataan”, “tatlong putok agad yan”, “durog ang virginity”, and “biktima nanamang bago brad”.
She added: “Akala ninyo nakaktuwa? Nakaka-walang respeto kayo. Ilugar ang biruan mga brad. Magbiruan kayo ng ganyan, siguraduhin ninyong kayo lang ang nakakarinig at nakakakita. Hindi yung naka-broadcast pa kung gaano kayo kabastos sa Facebook.”
(Do you think it's funny? You are really disrespectful. It's not joke time all the time. If you want to poke fun, make sure that you only are the ones who can hear and see. Don't broadcast how rude you are on Facebook.)
She ended her video, saying that all that is needed is a little breeding and respect.
Montefalco's video already gained more than 200,000 views in less than a day with more than 6,000 shares.
