Take a look at this funny Philippine election ad

Because of a popular presidential candidate’s loose tongue, our social-media screens have become a minefield lately. You see where your friends stand on political hopefuls, and you see the ignorance in some people (that was probably there all along). Regardless, it has all become so heavy and silly. So it was a relief that we stumbled upon this ad about a fictional jeepney driver.

It begins with a mournful voice-over in Tagalog, showing a weary man heading home after a day’s work on the road. He carries his daily earnings in the small wooden case that serves as a jeepney’s cash box. The weight of the world is on his shoulders, the burden of making a living from the chaos and disorder of our streets.

We’ll let you discover the rest of what the ad has to say. We hope you’ll agree that it’s a welcome break from all the political “views” and misguided statements we’ve been seeing.

Oh, and in case we haven’t emphasized this enough: We are not endorsing any candidate. We’re not telling you to vote for Roman Romulo, but we’re not telling you not to vote for him either. We just ask that you vote wisely, and to not be swayed by tough superhero statements.
