Actress and former councilor Aiko Melendez slammed Senator Leila De lima for her emotional response to accusations linking her to illegal drugs when she was still the Department of Justice secretary.
Aiko posted on her Facebook account after De Lima said that she was being violated as a woman.
(In the Filipino culture, respect is given to the women. Moreover, if you will enter the world of politics, you should have a strong heart, resolve, and principles in life. Otherwise, you will be eaten by the political system.)
Aiko added that someone with "pusong mamon" is not allowed in politics. She also mentioned the times when De Lima was attacking the persons involved in illegal activities and asked if she was ever thinking about their wives and daughters.

(So on the hearing on the drug protector issue, she should face it as a leader. She does not need to emphasize that she is a woman who is being violated. )
She further explained that the issue is not about gender but about the nation's worsening problem on drugs.
