Senator Leila De Lima has been facing several accusations as she was linked to illegal drug transactions and was allegedly a protector of drug lords inside the New Bilibid Prison (NBP).
The accusations have been intensified when witnesses testified against her and confessed that the former justice secretary has been receiving millions to billions of pesos from illegal drugs.
Amidst the heated accusations thrown at Senator De Lima, a bubbly senator was seen showing off her dance moves to the tune of 'Macarena' and other songs.

In a video circulating social media, Senator De Lima was seen grooving in a dance performance with other amigas to classic hits like 'Get Down' and 'Macarena'.
A Facebook page uploaded the video dated July 18 which went viral. Some netizens bashed the senator, saying that the video could be the last happy moment of her life while others defended her and said that she was just having a good time with friends and there is nothing wrong with that.
One Facebook user angrily commented: “Do not tell the world that you are being slandered ang labeled as druglords protector, when all these videos are scattered all over social media. Videos showing how you celebrated with druglords while inside prison. Stop crying for help, coz all the evidence of your hypocrisy are not a secret nationwide.”
Another user defended De Lima and said: “I dont see any connection of her dancing to a party with her political issues. She was just having fun like most of us do. Dont reason out that she has a high position in the government so she should be always at her proper best. As far as i know kahit presidente pa nageenjoy din paminsan minsan. let us be fair people.”
The viral video already gained more than 400,000 views on Facebook with more than 6,000 shares.
