Filipinos do have world-class talent and you don’t need to look far just to see one.

It may not be the first location that you would have in mind if you want to see raw Filipino talent at work. However, at a rice plantation in Bataan, farmers who are toiling under the searing heat of the sun found their voices and started singing a song that matches the rhythm of their bodies.

The farmers seemed to be synchronized with the beat of the song.

The precision and the cadence by which they do their task in tune with the song was astounding, you can really say that they are a group of talented farmers.

The four-minute video of the singing Bataan farmers was posted on Facebook by JP Dela Cruz.

He captioned the video with:

“BATAAN SINGING FARMERS..

Napakataas ng paggalang ko sa mga MAGSASAKA.. Nakakatuwa sa puso na panuorin ang aking mga kababayang MAGSASAKA sa BATAAN na umaawit pa habang nagtatanim. (I have the highest respects for farmers. It is very heartwarming to see farmers from my province of Bataan, singing while planting.) They deserve a lot of respect. Let us share this vid to support them. God bless all the FARMERS in the world.”

True enough, many people liked the video and shared it. To date, it already has more than 426,000 views and has been shared 15,396 times.

These farmers just showed the world how Filipinos get to have fun, laugh and smile even when they are in the direst situation. They simply get to sing even if their work is one tiresome task. If the farmers in the video have just started planting, then they have hours more to go before they can finish a hectare or the number of hectares that were given to them as their quota for the day.

So the next time you see a farmer, treat them with the highest respect. The work they do just to bring precious rice on the table is downright exhausting!
