- The actress explained that constantly criticizing Pres. Duterte will make it difficult for him to solve the country’s problems
- She also expressed her wish to have a peaceful and orderly country
Comedy queen Ai-Ai delas Alas on Thursday expressed on her Instagram page her disappointment towards the recent developments of the Senate inquiry into the alleged extrajudicial killings in the country.
Ai-Ai was furious over the seemingly non-stop criticisms against President Rodrigo Duterte. Senator Leila de Lima recently presented a witness at the Senate inquiry, Edgar Matobato, a self-confessed member of the Davao Death Squad who accused the President of ordering extrajudicial killings.
“Naalala ko tuloy nung nagsu- show dati first show ko sa FOLK ARTS THEATER -- ako si INANG BAYAN DUN SA NUMBER, ANG DIALOG KO ETO 'PUNYETA PAGOD NA PAGOD NA AKO.’ Eto na naman naramdaman ko habang nanonood na naman ako ng TV -- kelan kaya tayo AAYOS, KELAN KAYA TAYO WALANG REKLAMO?” Ai-Ai lamented.
(I remember my first show at the Folks Arts Theater – I played the character of Inang Bayan and my dialogue was ‘I had enough!’ This is also how I feel while watching TV – when are we going to have order? When are we going to stop complaining?)
She explained that the constant criticisms against Duterte are making it hard for the President to do his job as the leader of the country.
“Napakahirap ng katayuan ng presidente naten. Ang wish ko lang sana naman dumating ang time sa bansang ito na tahimik na muna at hayaan natin ang LEADER NATEN NA AYUSIN ANG BANSA NATEN,” the actress said.
(Our President is in such a difficult position. I wish that there will come a time when this country will finally have peace and that we will allow our leader to fix our country.)
Ai-Ai delas Alas added that she will try her best to calm herself down despite her negative emotions.
