While many consumers have developed the ability to check on the quality of the items before they get it, there are those who still become victims of deceptive vendors.

These are people who are taking advantage of their customers' vulnerability to their advantage. These are people who, despite the government's efforts to promote social justice, still opt to go the easy way.

In the Philippines, where most of people still live below poverty line, it's difficult to earn money. As a result, people resort to illegal activities just to be able to feed themselves.

Others may appear to be engage in legitimate businesses at face value but do horrible things when nobody is watching.

This has been a problem since then. People coming up with techniques and strategies to trick their consumers to either generate higher sales revenue or to hit the sales quota imposed by the actual business owner.

This incident caught by a concern citizen is one of those. While we've heard stories about customers complaining about the products they buy, we could rarely find footage like this one.

A video of a Divisoria fruit vendor tricking his customer has gone viral on social media. The video features the vendor replacing the fruits supposedly chosen by the customer with a plastic filled with rotten ones.

The video also captured how the modus works. Initially, the customer would pick what appears to be fresh oranges. While the vendor wraps the fruit in a plastic bag, he would replace it with a different plastic which resembles that of the original one only that the second plastic bag is filled with rotten oranges.

The video which was uploaded on Facebook now has thousands of views and shares from netizens who warned about buying fruits in Divisoria where the modus is rampant, netizens also advised the consumers to always be vigilant.
