– And it all happened of course in Australian waters
44-year-old Andy Warton was fishing around Melville Island when he caught an estuary cod.
But he was absolutely shocked when he attempted to pull out the fishing bait and instead saw a real snake curled up inside the fish's gullet.
"It's a cod, and it's got a snake in its mouth," you can him saying.
Holding the fish's mouth open the recreational angler grabs the live snake by its body with pliers before pulling it out.
“I've been fishing since I was six years old and fishing in Northern Australian waters since 1999 and I have never seen anything like this before,” the fisherman said.
After separating the two, Mr Warton threw them both back into the water.
