Megan Young reunited with Miss Universe 2015 second runner-up Olivia Jordan, who competed with her in Miss World 2013 in Bali Indonesia, during the latter’s short visit to the Philippines.

In an Instagram post, Megan Young posted her picture with Olivia Jordan and expressed how happy she was to see Oliva again.

“So happy I got to see this doll last night! I’m so happy for all your achievements @theoliviajordan:) keep on spreading positivity where ever you go. Hope to see you soon,” Young said in her post.

In 2013, Megan Young represented the Philippines in the Miss World beauty pageant and eventually brought home the crown, the first for the country and for any Southeast Asian nation. In the same pageant where 127 countries competed, Olivia represented the United States of America and landed in the Top 21.

Olivia, who is now back in New York, also took to her social media account and posted: “Just landed back in NYC and I already want to go back to the #Philippines grateful for the experience and for the chance to catch up w/the gorgeous@meganbata so happy for her and all the great work she is doing!!!!!?”

Olivia was in the Philippines for a short stay upon the invitation of Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtbach who crowned her successor in the local beauty tilt. Olivia sat as one of the judges in this year’s Binibining Pilipinas. She was seen on television teary-eyed and seemingly beaming with joy and pride while Pia Wurtzbach was giving her farewell speech as Miss Universe – Philippines.

After the Miss Universe 2015 pageant, Olivia was dubbed by netizens as “Pambansang Bestie” in praise and admiration for her in supporting Miss Philippines Pia Wutzbach during the announcement mix-up. She became one of Pia’s closest friends from the pageant, together with Miss Malaysia Vanessa Tevi Kumares, Miss Myanmar May Barani Thaw, and Miss China Yun Fang Xue.

In an episode of “GoodDay New York” where Olivia is a co-host, she even quipped about the possibility that she might be the Filipino’s lucky charm for doing well in the international beauty pageants.

“But the rumors are now going around that I may be a Filipino lucky charm because I was there when Megan Young won Miss World, and for Pia for Miss Universe…” she said.
