- Nadine Lustre posted some bikini photos on her social media accounts
- She was bashed by some netizens, calling her as “acting conservative” when she’s not
- Nadine said that she never did act like one
Nadine Lustre revealed that she wanted to be true to herself instead of being swayed by the opinions of others. Nadine admitted that she is no saint, but she is also not the type whom you can call as “conservative”
The Cosmopolitan magazine cover girl received some bashing after she posted some photos of herself in a bikini. Fans made rude comments like “pa-conservative,” which didn’t sit well with Nadine.
“People were commenting na pa-conservative pa raw ako, tapos I’m wearing a bikini...” said Nadine.
(People were commenting that I’m acting like I’m conservative, then I’m wearing a bikini…)
According to Nadine, while she is not conservative, it isn’t right for people to judge her based on her social media posts.
“I don’t want people to think na (that) I’m pakawala (slutty), but I’m never going to be santa-santita (saintly). I’m not a saint,” she added.
The actress made a stand that she is the only one who has the right to decide what to post and what not to post on her social media accounts. She recounted the times when people were asking her to take down some of her posts on Twitter.
Nadine said that she is not compelled to remind people that when she is not playing a role on screen, she is plainly Nadine, a girl who has a personality of her own.
Since she has been in showbiz for a long time, she has somehow accepted that there would always be negative comments about her.
She is just thankful for all the blessings that she has been receiving and is very happy at the moment.
One driving factor that pushes Nadine Lustre to do well is that her family used to be well-off but their business failed. This misfortune is her fuel to achieve greater heights in her career.
