Collins says intimate scenes will not get in way of relationship

- Tom Rodriguez, who was last seen in 'MariMar', is back with another soap for GMA - 'Someone to Watch Over Me' - along with Lovi Poe and Max Collins

- Collins, who he shared intimate scenes with for the show, said that his real-life girlfriend should not take it personally since it is just for work

- Carla Abellana, Rodriguez's girlfriend, expressed her full support for her boyfriend's latest soap

Onscreen pairings might rotate from time to time, but it is through changing partners that celebrities get into trouble most of the time - especially when they have partners offscreen.

These partners, whether a fellow actor or a regular citizen, still have a say on their roles in a particular show. Will I be okay with intimate scenes or will I not?

The question plagued 'Something to Watch Over Me' star Max Collins during the show's press launch. Collins is part of the show's supporting cast, along with its leads Tom Rodriguez and Lovi Poe.

Will Rodriguez' intimate scenes with Collins make his real-life girlfriend, actress Carla Abellana, jealous?

The actress responded that Abellana shouldn't be since it is just a part of their work as actors.

She added that she is not chummy with the 'Ismol Family' actress, but does greet her when they see each other in events or even inside GMA.

"Sa tingin ko naman kay Carla, open-minded siyang tao and she’s a smart person. Maiintindihan niya ang mga ginagawa namin ni Tom sa teleserye kaya hindi naman siya siguro magagalit or magseselos," she concluded her statement.

(I think that Carla's an open-minded individual and she's a smart person. I guess she understands what Tom and I have done for the soap so maybe she won't get angry or jealous.)

To put Collins' fear to rest, even Rodriguez assured his co-star that Abellana does not think of such - she has his full support on his new show.

"Kasi nga, hindi naman kami that close ni Carla kaya ayokong magkaroon ng anumang problema sa amin because of the scenes na ginagawa namin ni Tom. It’s good to know na okey naman pala with her," she said with relief.

(Carla and I aren't really that close that's why I don't want the two of us to have problems because of the scenes Tom and I did. It's good to know that it's just okay with her.)

She said that she is grateful for Abellana's support, and will personally tell her sentiments next time that they meet.

The love team of Carla Abellana and Tom Rodriguez has been one of GMA's bankable pairings, which has resulted to two teleseryes - 'My Husband's Lover' in 2013 and 'My Destiny' a year after. The two also starred in Regal Entertainment's romantic comedy 'So It's You' with JC De Vera in 2014.
