Ma. Aurora Moynihan, the younger sister of Filipina actress Maritoni Fernandez, is one of the latest victims of the bloody drug war in the Philippines.
Moynihan’s body was found by the police along Temple Drive corner Giraffe Street, Brgy. Ugong Norte with multiple gunshot wounds and a cardboard placard with a note warning drug pushers with celebrity clients that they are next on the kill list.

According to Quezon City police chief Guillermo Eleazar, Maritoni Fernandez’s sister is suspected by authorities of selling ecstasy and other forms of party drugs to other celebrities.
Eyewitnesses told the police that they saw a silver Toyota Fortuner at the crime scene at around 1:40 a.m. Several minutes later, they heard gunshots in the area and saw the vehicle speeding off toward the White Plains Avenue.
Initial investigations say that the 45-year-old drug suspect was inside the Fortuner vehicle when she was shot dead. Moynahan was then pushed out of the vehicle by the unidentified killers.
According to the investigators, they might be able to get important clues from the closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras in the area.
Moynihan’s death came hours after the QC police chief identified three individuals suspected of selling ecstasy and other kinds of party drugs to celebrities and well-off personalities. They are Edward Nelson Jose, Nathaniel Adrian Cruz and Philip Salonga – arrested in separate police operations which yielded ecstasy drugs worth P120,000.
Maritoni Fernandez, whose real name is Antonita Moynihan, is a 47-year-old Filipina acress, model and entrepreneur.
She starred in several movies with Filipino legend Fernando Poe Jr. Maritoni Fernandez also appeared in the foreign movie called “Days of Being Wild,” directed by renowned director Wong Kar-wai.
She was diagnosed with breast cancer on her 30th birthday but is now in remission.
