- A “Stranger Things” fan made a video and turned it into a Filipino version

Stranger Things” by Netflix became a global hit when it aired. The ‘80s nostalgia, impeccable acting of the kids, and the whole plot just made the television series a cult classic.

The story of a powerful girl who was experimented on and her journey with three other kids to defeat the monster resonated with so many fans around the world especially Filipinos.

Lead actress Millie Bobby Brown who played ‘Eleven’ came to the Philippines in a recent comic convention. Many fans went to the event dressed up like her, girls shaved their heads, and boys even wore dresses complete with the bleeding nose look just to honor her.

So it’s not surprising that some Filipinos would make memes or even videos to show their love for the show.

In fact, just yesterday, we wrote about a funny video made by “Game of Thrones” fan Owen Ryan Ang. He showcased his creativity and love for the show by making a beautiful masterpiece of mixing scenes from GOT and music from “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.”

Netizens couldn’t stop laughing from the cleverness of this video.

Now, Facebook user Weil Ylagan made a similar video but used “Stranger Things” and mixed it with Gary Valenciano’s “Wag Ka Na Umiyak.” He captioned the video, “"Kakaibang Bagay" malapit na sa Kapamilya Primetime Bida! Hahaha joke lang! Enjoy!”

The video shows the scene where ‘Eleven’ and the other kids were escaping from the government because they were spotted leaving Mike’s house. Mike, Dustin, and Lucas were all riding their bikes as fast as they could but the men chasing them were faster because they were driving cars.

At this point, El decides to save them all by using her powers to flip a car over to stop the bad men from getting them. Gary V’s song perfectly blends with this powerful scene as if it were really made by ABS-CBN.

Netizens have made this video trend and commented what they thought of it. It was a total laughter riot for most of the people.
