With a clouded past, where rumors of drug use haunted her, Claudine Barretto voluntarily subjected herself to a drug test so as to clear her name and show the world that she is not a drug user.

The 37-year-old actress’ decision was in perfect timing considering that the government is campaigning really hard against the proliferation of illegal drugs.

Claudine’s drug test yielded results that were clearly satisfactory for her, such that she quickly took to Facebook and posted her results.

Claudine Barretto’s drug test results were negative. This means that the actress was not using ecstasy, cocaine, shabu or methamphetamine, opium, marijuana or even morphine.

Aside from the fact that Claudine was willing to undergo drug-testing, her talent management, Viva Artists Agency, also requested the test for Claudine. Many still remember how rumors circulated in the past where estranged husband Raymart Santiago accused her of using drugs.

The said agency likewise requested James Reid and Anne Curtis to undergo a drug test.  James and Anne are likewise under Viva Artists.

Other Pinoy celebrities who recently took a drug test include Luis Manzano, Patrick Garcia, Baron Geisler, Diego Loyzaga, Enrique Gil and Jake Cuenca. All these celebrities tested negative for drugs.

One actor who questioned the possibility of drug tests to be conducted on celebrities was Robin Padilla. On the other hand, TV host and manager Boy Abunda, said that he was fine with celebrity drug testing. He said that if such is applied to other sectors of society, then they should likewise be subjected to the same standards.
