The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), in consonance with President Rodrigo Duterte’s war against the Philippines’ drug menace, has shut down another suspected drug laboratory in one village in Pampanga.
The alleged drug laboratory was concealed in a piggery, located right within Barangay Balitucan. According to reports the drug lab was hidden right beneath one warehouse, located at the food of Mount Arayat.
Wilkins Villanueva, National Capital Region PDEA director, led the operations. The group was armed with a search warrant, obtained from a court in Cabanatuan City, making their presence in the lab clearly legal.
According to reports, there was a woman and five young men who were crying right inside the house located beside the suspected shabu lab. There was no report from authorities whether they were working at the lab, or were drug users who utilize the house as a den.
The said suspected drug laboratory was also three kilometers away from the regional police training center. Another prominent structure that was near the said suspected shabu lab was the Central Luzon Drug Rehabilitation Center.
One man, “Alvin,” who was in the vicinity said that he had been operating the piggery for the last two years and he didn’t know of the existence of a drug laboratory, which has remained concealed under the warehouse.
Other drug dens that have been busted for the past three months include the one in Barangay Tejeros, Makati City and the other one was just right behind Camp Crame.
