Despite laying off from racy photo shoots for almost a decade, Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin continues to be one of the sexiest women in the world.
MTV Australia recently acknowledged her in its list of sexiest nationalities in the world, ranking eighth with Nigerian-Australian singer/songwriter Tim Omaji.
Locsin, who will star in Jason Lacsamana's upcoming film 'The Third Party' with Zanjoe Marudo and Sam Milby, took to Instagram to thank the Australian franchise of the cable channel.
She posted a screenshot of her photo along with Omaji.
"Thanks to www.mtv.com.au for including me in your top 10 list :)," was the caption of her post.
Some of the celebrities included in the list are 'The Vampire Diaries' star Nina Dobrev, former 'One Direction' band member Zayn Malik, fellow Australian Liam Hemsworth and recent Oscar winner Leo DiCaprio.

It has been known that Locsin won For Him Magazine's (FHM) Sexiest Woman twice - first in 2005 and the second in 2010 - just like actress/model Sam Pinto. The latter won the title in two consecutive years - 2011 and 2012 - before she was beaten by FHM's Sexiest Hall of Famer Marian Rivera.

Netizens who commented on her post congratulated her, sharing that her sexiness transcends local shores and has been validated through MTV Australia's list.
Aside from her film with Marudo and Milby, Locsin will also reprise her role as Darna in Erik Matti's film remake which will be released next year.
Fans have lobbied that she pick up her red-and-gold costume once again since news of the 'Darna' remake surfaced. At first, she said that she will not be able to play the Filipina superhero because of her condition.

Other actresses were considered, such as Jessy Mendiola, Maja Salvador, and Nadine Lustre, but ABS-CBN head honcho Malou Santos confirmed that the only actress worthy to play the iconic character was Locsin.
There are no reports of shooting for the film yet even if she has already healed.
