- Mariel and Robin Padilla are excited to welcome their baby girl who they named as ‘Maria Isabella de Padilla’
- They did not expect that Mariel will have another pregnancy, thus referring to their little one as a ‘miracle child’
- Mariel is set to fly to the US later this month where she will give birth
Robin Padilla and wife, Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla shared their excitement on welcoming their first baby whom they consider as a ‘miracle child.’
In an interview with ‘TV Patrol,’ the couple said that they look forward on the arrival of their little girl. Mariel referred to the child she’s carrying inside her womb as the ‘angel she has been waiting for.’
In agreement, Robin added that they had to provide the best for the baby and Mariel as well, since the latter has been known to have extremely delicate pregnancies.
Hence the decision that Mariel will fly to the United States where she will give birth. This was mainly because of the technology in the foreign country. Not wanting to offend the medical advances in the Philippines, the couple assured that they simply preferred to have everything ready just in case worse comes to worst.
Moreover, Robin revealed that his wife is an American citizen and that a lot of her family members reside in the US. They would be helpful on taking care of Mariel and the baby.
Last year, Mariel suffered two miscarriages that caused the husband and wife grave devastation. Trying to avoid having another failed pregnancy, they insist on giving the child their 100% efforts and attention.
As for her part, Mariel has been taking several workshops to prepare her for giving birth and how to properly take care of an infant. She quipped that she is set to attend a ‘birthing class’ the following week.
Since the couple believes that a person’s name holds a significant bearing, they decided on calling her “Maria Isabella de Padilla.” The two are continuously praying for the safe birth and delivery of their little one.
Mariel broke the news last May, much to her fans’ glee.
Maria Isabella is expected to be brought to the world on November.
Robin and Mariel tied the knot back in 2010. They met when Robin was a temporary presenter on noontime variety show “Wowowee” while Mariel was a host on the program.
