Husband's message to Duterte: Let me join fight against ASG

-  Edmund Arellano is grieving over the lost of his wife in the Davao City Night Market explosion last Friday evening

- His wife worked as a massage therapist at Roxas Avenue and was on duty during the incident

- She left behind three children aged 6, 2, and 1-years old

A video of a husband pleading for President Rodrigo Duterte to allow him to fight against the ASG has gone viral.

The husband, known as Edmund Arellano, has asked the president to send him to fight against ASG so he can avenge his wife who died on Friday night as a result of the Davao City Night Market explosion.

The 2.45-minute video shows the husband grieving over his wife’s life. He said that he does not know what to do now that his wife is gone.

“Kung papayag siya, isama niya ako sa laban… Para makaganti naman ako sa mga hayop na mga Abu Sayyaf na yan (If he [President Duterte] would allow me to, I would like to fight against ASG so I can avenge my wife)” he said.

His main concern now that his wife is gone is the welfare of their three children especially that the youngest. Their kids are aged 6, 2, and 1 year old.

His wife, Ma. Luz Arellano, 28 years old, worked as a therapist in Roxas avenue. She was on duty during the night of the tragedy.

In the video, Edmund narrated how he looked for his wife immediately after the explosion. He said he felt something was not right and so he immediately went to all the hospitals and checked if his wife was there.

He couldn’t find her name and her wife was nowhere in sight, too.

It was only on the next day that they knew of the terrible, heartbreaking news: his wife did not make it. She was one of the 14 victims who lost their lives on that tragic night.

His message to those who are behind this terrible act: “Kamo nga mga putangina nyo, sana kung ano mang nangyari sa akin ngayon…sakit kaayo, mao pud na inyong maranasan puhon para makabalos rako sa inyo (You assholes, I hope all of you would go through the kind of pain that I am feeling right now. I hope you all would go through this kind of situation so I can have my revenge),” he said.

Based on one of the netizens who shared his video, Arellano serves as one of the security guards at Forever 21.
