Philippine celebrities saddened by Davao city bombing

On September 2, 2016, a tragedy happened at Davao City’s night market in Padre Gomez St. It has been reported that a dozen people were killed both on the spot and some died on the hospital.

Sixty people were injured from the blast on the site and were treated immediately. In line with this occurrence, the president of the Philippines, Rodrigo Duterte declared a “state of lawlessness” to protect the Philippines.

He cleared that this is not martial law because rights like habeas corpus would not be suspended but that he will be the commander-in-chief that will give the military the power to increase its presence and to act against terrorism.

As of the moment, the group Abu Sayyaf have owned up to this tragic incident saying that they have caused this.
