PHOTOS: Strangers find and rescue baby in the trash

- A Facebook user posted pictures of a baby she found in the trash outside her house

- She immediately sent the baby girl to the hospital

- The baby is currently in a critical condition and is in need of donations

The pictures of a newborn baby thrown in the trash have gone viral, with netizens applauding the efforts of the strangers who found the baby but outraged by the actions of the baby’s biological parents.

Facebook user Bam Siao Lim discovered the newborn baby still alive inside a plastic bag, with her umbilical cord still attached to her body, when garbage collectors arrived at her home to take the trash.

The concerned citizen immediately took a blanket for the baby and rushed her to a hospital in Valenzuela City.

“The first thing that came to my mind was to bring the baby to the nearest hospital. But my car was coding today. Nevertheless, (I) drove the baby to the hospital,” Lim posted.

Policemen and representatives from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) also came to the hospital to check on the poor baby.

The baby was named “Jade” and she is currently in critical condition. For those who want to help, Lim posted the bank account where people can deposit their donations.

Lim was also able to call a Priest in order to baptize the baby.

The Facebook user urged the biological mother to visit her daughter in the hospital if she ever changes her mind regarding her baby. Lim also advised the mother not to throw away her baby if she ever gets pregnant again the future.

“You have your own reasons for doing such. Just in case you conceive again, please don’t throw an Angel. If ever you had a change of heart, your baby is at Valenzuela General Hospital,” Lim wrote on Facebook. - Kami Media
