- Thor the Bengal cat has caught the attention of thousands of web users for his tiger-like features
- His remarkable resemblance of a Bengal tiger has earned him the nickname
- His owner, Rani Cucicov, indulged fans with some details about Thor’s refreshing personality for a cat
Move over, Garfield. It seems that someone else has been trying to take over your crown and throne in terms of cat popularity.
And no, he is not a miniature tiger nor does he belong to the wild. Meet Thor the Bengal cat, who looks exactly just like his name!
This adorable ball of fluff is blessed with features that resemble a Bengal tiger – from his eyes, to his fur pattern, and down to his paws. Rather than the usual stripes or the common layer of colors, Thor’s consists of those that appear similar to ‘exotic jungle cats such as leopards, ocelots, and margays,’ as reported by the Little Things.
Most fans, especially his owner, would agree that his name holds a bearing for his personality. The pet cat is simply majestic in all of his ways.
Rani Cucicov, Thor’s human partner, opened up about his cat’s character in an interview with Bored Panda. He compared the experience of having Thor around to ‘definitely feeling like a servant.’
Although Thor demands a lot from Cucicov, the latter confesses that the former pays him back with lots of affection and love.
He also shared that Thor is ‘a very lovable and active cat,’ a shock to some since these creatures have been mostly known for lazing around.
In fact, Thor likes engaging with people. “He talks all day long and if we don’t answer his meowing, he gets pissed,” Cucicov said.
Moreover, the Bengal cat does not mind having visitors over and even clings to them during their stay.
But he could be a reason for a headache, as well. “And one time a day, mostly before going to sleep, he gets crazy and climbs on the walls. He seems like a child who doesn’t want to go to sleep,” Cucicov explained.
Thankfully, the episodes do not take too long for Thor eventually calms down and calls it a day just like the king he is.
Thor the Bengal cat has a huge following on both his Instagram account and Facebook page. Web users often write comments about the famous cat, calling him ‘beautiful’ and asking him to reproduce to fill the world with more regal cats just like him.
