Angel Locsin, despite a disc bulge that developed in her spine, still considers playing the role of Darna in the popular comic series’ movie adaptation.
During an interview, Angel was asked if she will play the role and she answered: “Always naman, ako pa rin naman [si Darna] para sa puso ko.” (As always, I’m still Darna at heart.)
Angel said that her playing the role she had portrayed before depends on ABS-CBN network and her health recovery.

According to Angel, she is willing to accept the role if the management will offer her to do it. She said that if it would be God’s will and if the management and the people want her, then she will do it if the role is really for her.

She said that she has her “favorites” and she was rooting for three Kapamilya actresses before, but she added two more as of now.
