Despite of reminders to tone down his rhetoric when talking about drug personalities, Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Director General Ronald dela Rosa urged drug pushers and users to inflict vengeance on drug lords.
“Kilala 'nyo sino drug lord dito, di ba? Puntahan 'nyo. Buhusan ninyo ng gasolina 'yung bahay, sindihan ninyo. Pakita ninyo na galit kayo sa kanila,” said Dela Rosa to an audience of drug users and pushers who surrendered to authorities.
(You know the drug lord here, right? Go to them. Douse their houses with gasoline then set them on fire. Show them your anger.)
Moreover, he urged the drug users and pushers to kill the drug lords since they took advantage of them, making them their victims. Dela Rosa pointed out that these drug lords became rich at the expense of the poor.
“Itong mga taong ito matagal na nagpapayaman. Kayo, ano? Lumiliit ang inyong utak, natutunaw ang inyong utak, natutunaw ang inyong mga ngipin, ang inyong mga jaw, ang inyong mga gums. Natutunaw sa kakagamit ng shabu. 'Yung pusher naman, namamatay dahil na-enkuwentro ng pulis. Kapag buy-bust operation kayo ang namamatay,” he said.
(These people are continuously getting rich. How about you? Your brains are shrinking, your teeth, jaws, and gums are being destroyed because of constant use of shabu. Pushers are killed in police operations. Whenever there is a buy-bust operation, they are the ones who die.)
When asked if he regrets his choice of words against drug lords, Dela Rosa said that he will not apologize for it.
“If it will cost me my life, I am willing to face it. I'm an official with balls. Whatever I do, I will stand by it. I'm not hiding anything. Our police operations are open books. You can scrutinize everything,” said Dela Rosa.
Meanwhile, Dela Rosa warned those who surrendered that returning to illegal drug use would cost their life due to either at the hands of the police or as a consequence of the use of the illegal drug itself. – Kami Media
