Local celebrity pregnancies have experienced a boom recently, and one of local showbiz's hottest stars gave birth on August 14.
Despite her hiatus from the entertainment industry, Diana Zubiri revealed that she is now a mother to a baby girl.
The former sexy star took to Instagram to post a picture of her newborn daughter, Aliyah Rose, last weekend.
"Hello world meet my baby girl ? #LittleASmith," was the caption of the post.
Her husband, model/host Andrew Smith, also posted about his wife's delivery on his respective account. He also used the same hashtag as his wife in his post about their newborn daughter.
Accompanying their family photo was a lengthy statement, wherein he promised that he will give his 'unconditional love' to his daughter. Not only did #LittleASmith have a message from her father, but her mother as well. Smith thanked Zubiri for her 'incredible strength' during her nine-month ordeal.
Zubiri's fans still could not forget about her former role as Danaya, one of the Sang'gres in the original 'Encantandia', and used it as a reference in their comments to congratulate her on her newborn daughter.
After posting the photo of her bundle of joy, the former Sang'gre shared a card celebrating her daughter's one week in the human world.
Prior to Smith, Zubiri was married to Alex Lopez for two years until his death. However, their brief relationship bore fruit as she has a son with him, who is now six years old.
Despite the brief phase of grief in her life, she has now recovered with her new family. Aside from her new mommy duties, she is also a businesswoman running a sports apparel line.
Congratulations to Zubiri and Smith for their newborn daughter! Who do you think is the next celebrity who's going to give birth soon?
