Philippine celebrities and other members of the showbiz industry pay tribute to the death of Lilia Cuntapay - the country's Queen of Horror Movies.

To honor the film industry icon, stars and famous personalities remember her through their social media posts.

Dubbed as the Horror Queen, Cuntapay often played the roles of ghosts, witches, fairies and local herbalists in classic Filipino films and TV series.

The character actress who was reported to have suffered from a spinal cord illness earlier this month has died on Saturday, August 20, at the age of 81.

Actors Mark Herras, Paolo Ballesteros and Ramon Bautista paid respects to the Philippines' Queen of Horror Films.

 

 

 

Singer and celebrity Aiza Seguerra also posted on her Instagram a tribute photo for the late actress.

 

Other personalities such as Mon Confiado, Rico Robles and film critic Philbert Dy also mourn the death of Cuntapay.

Director Antoinette Jadaone who featured the late actress in her mockumentary Six Degrees of Separation from Lilia Cuntapay in 2011, also bid farewell. "Hindi ka namin makakalimutan, Nanay Lilia. Pahinga ka na," she tweeted.
