- Still in shock, Norie Bordador said that her daughter is against drugs and would not dare to engage in such illegal activities
- SPD officials said that Karen was the one holding the bag containing the illegal drugs when they conducted their buy-bust operation
Upon learning about the alleged involvement of her daughter’s involvement in illegal drugs, Karen Bordador’s mother strongly defended her daughter when she visited her at the SPD headquarters in Taguig City last Wednesday, August 17.
Norie Bordador, who chose not to show her face on television, said that her daughter was falsely accused and that she knows her daughter would never do anything related to such illegal activities.
‘Hindi totoo iyon. Si Karen ay against drugs. We don't deserve this. We don't deserve this. Tigilan na nila yung pangcocondemn sa kanya,’ said Norie.
(That is not true. Karen is against illegal drugs. We don’t deserve this. We don’t deserve this. They should stop condemning her.)
According to Norie, Karen has not recovered yet from shock over what happened to her. However, the District Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group of the Southern Police (SPD) said that Karen was the one holding the bag containing drugs which she handed over to her boyfriend Emilio Lim.
‘Inutusan ni Lim si Karen. (Si Karen mismo) ang kumuha sa bag para ibigay naman ditto kay Lim bago ibinigay sa ahente,’ Chief inspector Willy Sanghel said.
(It was Lim who ordered Kim. [She was really] the one who got the bag to give it to Lim before handing it over to the police agent.)
According to police authorities, Emilio Lim is a supplier of ecstasy and other party drugs in many high-end bards in Bonifacio Global City and Makati City.
Bordador and Lim were arrested in a buy-bust operation last Saturday, August 13 by the Taguig City Police Station Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operations Task Group. Operatives were able confiscate ecstasy tablets and powder, dried marijuana leaves, cracked ecstasy, marijuana resin, and other drug paraphernalia which all amount to a total of PHP 2.8 million. – Kami Media
