- Singer Madonna went to Cuba to celebrate her 58th birthday
- She was accompanied by his son Rocco who recently turned 16 years old
- Madonna is behind hit songs Material Girl, La Isla Bonita, and many more
Madonna spent her 58th birthday in Cuba, adding to the list of celebrities who have visited the booming tourist life in Old Havana.
The singer arrived in Havana on Monday and spent three days checked in at Hotel Saratoga’s luxury room – Suite Habana – for $700 per night.
On her arrival day, the crowd waited outside the hotel in anticipation. However, they were not so lucky.
According to reports, the hotel room in which Madonna stayed for the entirety of her Cuba adventure featured floor-to-ceiling windows and its own living room. It also has a junior suite just right next to it where her son Rocco and friend Debi Mazur stayed during the vacation.
Rocco, who recently turned 16 years old, is Madonna’s son with ex-husband Guy Ritchie.
The hotel also added extra security during the singer’s arrival, in preparation for a mob scene. Thankfully, everything went smoothly and as planned.
Furthermore, Madonna, Rocco, and friends also spent some time exploring the nightlife in Cuba. They were seen dancing and entertaining onlookers.
They were also seen in La Vitrola where she reportedly climbed on top of the bar and became the center of attention, leading the rest of the people in a groovy night.
Several U.S. celebrities have made trips to Havana in the recent years due to a boom in tourism which is believed to have been set off by the declaration of detente with the U.S. in December 2014.
For instance, Jay-Z and Beyonce were reported to have visited the place in 2013. They also stayed in Hotel Saratoga.
Since the price in Cuba is way cheaper than other tourist destinations, celebrities usually get more bang for their buck.
Madonna became famous for her hit songs which included “Material Girl,” “La Isla Bonita,” and “Who's That Girl”?
