- Sandara Park surprised fans and Pokémon Go players when she was walking around BGC on Tuesday
- Several fans shared their snaps regarding the incident on various social media sites
- The Korean singer was with fashion model Hyoni Kang to shoot for a travel show called ‘Battle Trip’
Pokémon Go players hunting down various catches in public are no longer a surprise or something out of the ordinary these days – even managing to locate a nearby Pikachu or Jigglypuff is already a usual occurrence following its recent release. But one of the things that could bring the aspiring Pokémon masters shock – aside from rare Pokémon, of course – is when an international celebrity pops out of nowhere!
In this case, it is more appropriate to say it as, ‘A wild Sandara Park appeared!’
The 2NE1 singer surprised fans at Bonifacio Global City (BGC) on Tuesday, August 16. It was not only her followers that were caught unaware, but Pokémon trainers around the vicinity as well.
An Instagram user identified as Bryan Regala Sumayao shared a few snaps of the pambansang krung-krung roaming around. He narrated how he was in the middle of looking for Pokémon and hatching eggs when he suddenly spotted Sandara.
In a different post, Sumayao joked about attempting to ‘capture’ the artist with an ultra ball. One web user wrote a comment and rode along, quipping that it was a good choice since Sandara is ‘hard to catch.’
Another fan under the username of @ken_levine was able to take a photo with the Korean popstar and recalled how Sandara asked her, along with her companions, about the current mobile craze. Although they admitted of not joining the bandwagon, a biker in search for a Pokémon passed by and managed to strike a conversation with Sandara.
The Penshoppe endorser was with South Korea’s fashion model Hyoni Kang to film for KBS2’s travel show entitled ‘Battle Trip.’ Aside from Taguig, the pair also visited Bohol and Calamba, Laguna.
Sandara will also star on the upcoming talent competition show, ‘Pinoy Band Superstar,’ which would be aired on the Kapamilya network. Along with Vice Ganda and Yeng Constantino, the three of them are set to be the judges on the program.
Sandara, or widely known for her stage name Dara, is a frequent visitor in the Philippines despite her hectic schedule. Earlier this month, she was spotted in the country and even had the same flight with actor John Lloyd Cruz.
Previous to her arrival for their travel show’s shooting, she was in Bangkok, Thailand for an event of a local brand she endorses.
