- When walking their dog this couple spotted a woman trying to save a drowning seagull
- Without much thought the wife jumped into the water to save the bird, while her husband snapped photos
- The bird seemed in good health but regardless it's the act that matters
A photographer and his wife were taking their dog on a walk when they saw a bird drowning in the channel.
After watching the bird circle in the water for about half an hour the two decided to take action. The husband being a photographer, it was up to his wife to save the drowning seagull, while he, doing what he does best, immortalized her heroism on photo.
They believe the bird had a broken wing “or something.”
The couple gave the rescued bird to a woman who was trying to lure it to safety. She later wrote a letter to the photographer and his wife. The letter read:
"I think the bird is going to be just fine!! After a few hours of rest, it stood up and then finally ate bread soaked in water, which we read to do online. The left wing was still drooping and causing it to trip and stumble that night, but by the morning the wing looked back to normal."
