Amy Alarilla: “But you show no mercy for criminals like drug pushers and the like -remember you said the bible allows death penalty? For Marcos you want people to forgive and forget. How about those he had tortured and murdered? Aren't you contradicting yourself. Please Senator Pacquiao - make up your mind”

Sef de Castro: “Dear Pacman, please dont use the bible for any state affairs. One of the reasons we should separate religion and the state is because not all filipinos are reading the same bible you are reading.”

Rocky Silvester Blanco: “The most hypocritical comment i read. And that's from a pastor/senator/returning boxer who wants death penalty. And yeah I forgive you Manny Pacquiao”

Some are disappointed of Pacquiao’s decision:

Ernesto Mangahas: “Manny, even a forgiving God will not forgive unless man repents from his sins (Acts 2:37-38)... I hope your pastors can enlighten you with this... kaya ang tanong umamin na ba ang mga yan sa kasalanan nila sa bayan?”

Tsk, tsk, tsk”

Pacquiao has earlier said that he is in favor of death penalty, citing the Bible once again, saying that it allows death penalty as a “punishment” for sinners. - Kami Media
