After taking a short break, the Summer Komikon 2016 is back in action on April 16 from 10 a.m. to 7pm at the Bayanihan Center, Unilab Compound in Pasig City.
Fans and collectors alike will get a chance to grab the latest and freshest local comics from over 100 titles. They can also have a meet and greet session with illustrators Rod Espinosa (Neotopia), Reno Maniquis, and Andrew Villar. Komikon will also launch the third batch of Sulyap Komiks Anthology creators, the freshest and upcoming independent local comics creator.
Attendees can learn more about local comics by attending “Collaborative Work in Comics” a discussion headed by Tepai Pascual, Maika Ezawa, Ace Vitangcol, and Jed Siroy at Conferense Room E. The same benefit can be experienced in Rico Rival and Danny Acuña’s “Veteran Speak.”
Signing sessions and drawing commissions from international Filipino comics creators from Marvel, DC, and Dynamite Comics will happen at Komiks Kalye at Conference Room F.
The first ever blood-letting drive in cooperation with Red Cross and the awarding of Komikon’s winners on Komiks Creation Contest and Cover Recreation Contest will be also featured.
Entrance ticket price for Komikon 2016 is Php 100 and selling starts at 10 a.m. Freebies will be given to early goers.
