- As of press time, several local governments have announced class suspensions for Tuesday, August 16

- Monsoon rains continue plaguing places all over the country

- The rain has brought about flood, turbid water, and in some areas, death

As monsoon rain is expected to continue plaguing Western Visayas, Central Luzon, and the provinces of Laguna, Quezon, Rizal and Palawan, some local governments were forced to make announcements regarding class suspensions for Tuesday, August 16.

Suspension for Tuesday, August 16.

Class suspensions for Monday, August 15, were announced following the release of the forecast by the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) early Monday which said that flash floods and landslides may be experienced over Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) and the provinces of Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, and Mindoro.

(As of 10:15 p.m., 15 August) The areas with class suspensions for Tuesday are as follows:

1. Abra

Abra Province — all levels  (Public and private)

2. Bulacan

Bustos — all levels  (Public and private)

Guiguinto — all levels  (Public and private)

Hagonoy — all levels  (Public and private)

Malolos — all levels (public and private)

Meycauayan — all levels  (Public and private)

Paombong — all levels  (Public and private)

Plaridel — all levels  (Public and private)

San Ildefonso — all levels  (Public and private)

San Miguel — all levels  (Public and private)

San Rafael — elementary and high school  (Public and private)

3. Pampanga
