Stories of people who are into secret societies are often linked to tattoos symbolizing what they're fighting for.

President Rodrigo Duterte is not an exemption.

In a video published recently, the meaning behind the president's small tattoo in his right hand just below his thumb has been revealed.

According to Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process Jesus Dureza, the tattoo is a symbol for “Magic Group” of the Guardians Brotherhood.

When asked about what the group is, Dureza responded with “it’s a secret cult".

“We are members of Guardians Brotherhood. It’s a fraternal group of people. It started as a military fraternal group. Then they got also civilians as members,” according to Dureza.

Duterte is believed to be the first president to sport a tattoo. The group turns out to be an informal soldiers’ group during Marcos’ Martial Law. The brotherhood is also believed to be pro-Marcos.

Duterte is known for his stance favoring former President Ferdinand Marcos' burial at the Libingan ng mga Bayani. In a press briefing, the President reaffirmed his stance supporting the late dictator's burial at the LNMB.  -Kami Media
