Not necessarily just your private area, though – Lay Bare offers various services to make your body hair-free if you will. They cater to all, waxing or threading areas from your face down to your feet.
Ever since the official release of Pokemon Go in the country last week, Filipinos have been busy catching them all to the point that the Philippine National Police (PNP) has released safety guidelines for the game’s enthusiasts.
On August 11, the waxing salon’s Facebook page released the witty ad featuring the game’s logo and a Bulbasaur.

“Kung ayaw mo ng (Bulbasaur image) sa Pokemon, go to Lay Bare,” it said.

Filipino speakers will immediately get this, since it loosely translates that if you do not want a hairy vagina, then go to Lay Bare.
To break the statement easier, the first syllable of Bulbasaur has reminded Filipinos of the word ‘bulbul,’ which is the hair that covers a woman’s private area below.
However, Pokemon has already been used suggestively to mean a woman’s vagina. Pokemon sounds like ‘puke mo’ in Filipino, which translates to ‘your vagina’ in English.
Now that the ad has captured Pokemon Go users and non-users alike, netizens reacted on Lay Bare’s post with most of them tagging their friends as if it was a secret joke that everybody else got.
Reactions ranged from grossed out, amused and a mix of both emotions.
Although some did not think that the waxing salon could pull out a stunt like this, they commented that it was an effective marketing strategy to get people in their establishment.
And there will always be those who do not get the joke which others will explain willingly and with hilarious results.
Whether you’re a Pokemon Go user or not, will you like to have your Bulbasaur removed from your Pokemon?
