This man was spotted running across the tarmac at the Madrid International Airport. The protagonist of the video is a Bolivian citizen flying to the holiday island of Gran Canaria.
He apparently missed his flight and in a desperate attempt he ran after the plane.
The security officer reported: “He breached a range of security measures when he saw he was going to miss his flight and, despite the efforts of ground personnel to stop him, managed to run across the tarmac as the plane was preparing to taxi out to the runway.”
Reports indicate that the man eventually did get into the plane but was apprehended when the plane landed at it's destination.
A spokesperson from Ryanair was quoted: “Since this video relates to a security breach at Madrid Airport, it’s a matter for Madrid Airport Police.”
The authorities of the airport said: “The incident happened around 9pm on Friday. We called the Civil Guard in after he breached security and broke a fire alarm before reaching the tarmac.”
