– His wife lost her passport so she couldn’t join him on their honeymoon
– A man wasn’t taken aback and decided to go to Italy only with the picture of his wife
– India's minister of external affairs suddenly decided to help the couple
Faizan Patel is a photographer from New Delhi in India, and now he is trying to enjoy the honeymoon without his wife. The journey includes trip around Europe that they booked couple months ago.
Faizan’s wife unfortunately had to stay at home because she suddenly realized just a few days before departure that she had lost her passport.
"This trip was entirely planned by her," Faizan told CNN. "I wish to see her next to me soon".
This situation garnered some attention on social media, and Faizan was really surprised when he received a tweet from Sushma Swaraj, India's minister of external affairs, offering to help: "Ask your wife to contact me. I will ensure that she is with you on the next seat. "
Now, thanks to such a huge help from the government, wife’s passport is done and her visa application has been submitted, so Faizan is hoping Sana will be able to join him on this trip.
