- Almendra is a dog born without her two hind legs
- Struggling to walk, she was abandoned by her owner
- She found a new human parent in the guise of Adhara Talamantes who gave her new home and helped her to walk on her path
This is Almendra – a dog born without front legs. Her journey started when she was still in a veterinary school.
Because of her disability, she was abandoned by her owner there. That time, she was the only dog no one wanted to adopt because she has only two legs.
They have a courtyard but she was never taught how to walk or stand at least. But she wanted to learn, so she tried. What she got were scars and a large wound in one of her front partial legs from dragging herself around.
Believing that “the only disability in life is a bad attitude,” Almendra found a new parent in the person of Adhara Talamantes – her angel in disguise.
Almendra underwent six months therapy. She can now move her two hind legs and even starts learning to walk a little.
This adorable pooch is learning to adjust with the use of a specialized device that allows her to move freely without hurting herself or affecting her spine.
Almendra is full of joy and her happiness is beyond everything after finally finding a new family. A huge improvement reflects on her expression.
How priceless. You can even sense how genuine her gladness is just by a mere sight of her.
Her new mom did not only provide her new shelter and home but also gave her hope to walk and stand up again.
Almendra can’t resist smiling now that she can run and jump with the help of her new wheelchair.
