- The start of 2016 was not good for Angel Locsin and Zanjoe Marudo, who confirmed their break-ups on national television
- The two were seen recently bonding on the set of their upcoming film, 'The Third Party'
- 'The Third Party', according to director Jason Paul Laxamana, is a light romance movie focused on relationships
Two of the hottest Kapamilya stars look like having they are having fun, despite their recent publicized break-ups.
Angel Locsin and Zanjoe Marudo started their year on a heartbreaking note as they confirmed splitting up with their respective partners on national television.
However, the two took to Instagram to share behind-the-scenes snaps of their upcoming film, 'The Third Party'.
Jason Paul Laxamana, the director of the film, also shared a photo of two on his account.
Joining Locsin and Marudo in the movie is Sam Milby, who will play a cosmetic surgeon.
'The Third Party', according to Laxamana, is a relationship movie that will only have a bit of romance in it.
Locsin will play Andi, an events manager aspiring to be a fashion designer, while Marudo will play Christian, an oncologist for children.
During their story conference last month, Locsin shared that they were all excited to do the film, most in particular Milby who kept on texting her if she has already read the script.
The actress went on to say that the film is not the usual rom-com Star Cinema produces and claimed that taking on the project was a bold move for them.

"Ang ganda kasi ng story eh, hindi siya typical na story na napapanuod natin; pero may puso," she said.
(The story is really good, it's not the typical one that we usually watch; it has heart.)
Locsin's co-stars agreed that her role was something she has not played yet, and Marudo admitted that he has yet to come to terms with it.
The three has also expressed their excitement on working with Laxamana, who is known for his internationally-claimed indie films.
When asked about its provocative title, Marudo said that viewers should not look at it differently because it does not have a negative effect on the story itself. For Locsin, the title is up for the viewers' interpretation.
Will the actors have to draw out their personal 'hugot' for their roles?
"As long as you experienced love, ayun, pwede ka na makahugot, especially for the actors regardless kung naging third party sila o hindi," Laxamana said.

Marudo has already prepped for the role, having his hair cut and admitting he has started to bulk up his body again.
"Gusto na nila ipalabas kaagad? Medyo nakakatense pero okay 'yung momentum," Locsin jokingly commented when asked when will they start shooting for the film.
(They want it to be released immediately? It makes me sort of tensed but the momentum's okay.)
Cameras have started rolling a week after the conference. According to the director, most of the scenes will be shot in Metro Manila.-Kami Media
Prior to 'The Third Party', Locsin has already worked with Marudo in the 2012 Metro Manila Film Fest (MMFF) entry 'One More Try' and Milby in the 2009 teleserye 'Only You'.
