- Jason Francisco deleted his open letter which detailed the reason of his separation with Melai Cantiveros
- The actor posted 4 photos on their children’s Instagram account and expressed his longingness for their daughter
- Melai defended her husband and conveyed her intention to fix their 3-year marriage
Days after sharing on an Instagram post what ended their three-year marriage, Jason Francisco deleted the 6-part post which narrated his side of the story.
The photos were uploaded under the account made by the couple for their 2-year old daughter named Amelia Lucille or ‘Mela’ as they call her.
Francisco proceeded on changing the account’s username from @babymelafrancisco to @papalovemela. In the same account, he also uploaded continuous posts to greet their daughter. Three of those only have the hashtags, #fatherdaughterlove, #babymela, #melafrancisco, and #awesomebaby.

The last one was a photo of the former PBB housemate holding a cake while posing for the camera with the caption, “Happy Month Day, my dolce amore Amelia. Papa miss you so so so so much, i love you everyday my baby, Love Papa. #fatherdaughterlove.”
In the actor’s open letter, he narrated the events which led up to their separation. According to him, he initially agreed for Melai to have an on-screen partner given that the character would only last until the pilot week – but the plot was altered. When the actor found out about the changes, he pleaded for the management to change the script which never happened.
People didn’t react nicely to Jason’s post and expressed their annoyance with the actor.
User @oxymoron_ieni advised him to respect his wife and the mother of his daughter by dealing with their issues on a private setting.
Most of the web users who wrote comments also mentioned Francisco’s ‘immature’ reason for breaking up with his wife.
Instead of sharing her side on the matter, Melai chose to address the detractors who are continuously commenting on her husband’s account. She posted it on the couple’s joint account, @mrandmrsfrancisco.
She defended that her husband was a good provider and he doesn’t have any vices. Melai also urged for them to understand their marital problems and respect their relationship by not giving malicious comments. At the end of her post, the actress-TV host insisted that they’re a couple and not against each other sides.
Both Melai and Jason were from the ‘Double Up’ season of Pinoy Big Brother. The two started as a love team inside the house and ended up as a real life couple when the series ended. The two were married in 2013.
