Even with low ratings, administration standard-bearer Mar Roxas remains optimistic for the remainder of the campaign period.
The former Department of Interior and Local Governance (DILG) Secretary said in a gathering of his Liberal Party party-mates and allies who gathered at Club Filipino in San Juan that the people will pick who is right. He said:
(I will win because I am not corrupt, I will win because I am not a dictator, and I will win because I am a Filipino. I am honorable, I am decent, and I will win.)
(My rivals are coming from personal ambitions, pride and fear of going to jail. If the others want to be the boss, our boss is the Filipino nation.)
