“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him." - John 3:16-17
The longings of the heart are vast, yet it is with words that we admit the weakness of the mind. Today, let the words flow out as we seek the guidance of the Lord, our potter, as we strive to weather the hurtful words that would transform our troubled world.
Loving Father, thank you for the spirit of joy and enthusiasm
so we may meet the day with purpose and positive thoughts.
Thank you for Your guiding hand that drives away all wicked thoughts
so we may recognize the blessings of this new day.
We pray for guidance in the matters at hand
so we may conduct our work with the right spirit.
Give us the desire to find knowledge
so we may excel as we work together.

Grant us patience, O Lord,
Make us willing to be changed
though it requires the therapy of the soul.
Make our hearts warm and soft,
that we may receive the blessing of Your forgiveness, and the benediction of Your name.
Give us Your guidance, loving Father
so we may challenge each other to reach higher and farther;
Let us be more accepting
so we may lead each other from the prejudice to truth:
Deliver us from hatred, cruelty, and revenge
so we never retaliate when we feel wronged.
Let us demonstrate patience, kindness, and love.
Let our desires not be for our own comfort,
but for the joy of Your kingdom;
for Yours are the potter's hands
that worked the clay of our souls and minds.
