- Linda and Timmy Bannon suffer from a rare condition where they were born without arms
- The mother and son don’t feel different from the rest but live their lives normally
- Linda and Timmy teach people a lesson or two about choosing how to live one’s life
Being born without an arm can be difficult, but for this mother and son tandem, they are living life to the fullest even though both of them were born without arms.
According to Linda, from her own perspective, she didn’t really see her disabilities as a hindrance, perhaps it was because she grew up no feeling any different from any other kids.
Yes, she does everything using her feet, from brushing her teeth, changing clothes, and everything else, which for normal people would be utterly difficult.
When Linda got married in 2004 and got pregnant, she was informed by her doctor that there’s a huge possibility that her child would suffer from the same condition. She was even given the option of terminating the pregnancy but she did not.
Although her son, Timmy, was born with the same rare condition, she taught her son to live life to the fullest. Timmy, like his mom, would do things that normal people would, using his two feet. He can write and cook without the aid of any arm.
The best part about this mother and son tandem is that they can swim without arms, and they’re pretty good at it. They glide in the water way better than others who have both arms.
The story of Linda and Timmy Bannon shows how your life choices will determine how you will live. If you choose to view a disability as that, then you will never be able to smile the way this mother and son do. – SD, Kami Media
