– 18-year-old Conrad Roy III died from carbon monoxide poisoning after days of chilling messages from his girl Michelle Carter
– 19-year-old Carter is charged with involuntary manslaughter after doing this
– Her defense tried to hide these messages, but the evidence was quite obvious
At one point during his suicide, Conrad allegedly left his vehicle, but however he was told to get back in by Carter over the phone. Records reveal that the pair were on the phone for 47 minutes while Conrad sat in his truck.
Text records seen in court reveal Carter later told her friend: “Like, honestly, I could have stopped it. I was the one on the phone with him and he got out of the car because [the carbon monoxide] was working and he got scared. I f*cking told him to get back in.”
Throughout the conversation Carter sends several messages warning her suicidal boyfriend that “it’s now or never” and to “just do it”.
In one message the then-17-year-old, who claimed to Conrad that she would look after his family, texts: “People who commit suicide don’t think this much. They just could do it.”
She continuously was pushing Conrad to commit suicide, writing: “Good because it’s time, babe. You know that. When you get back from the beach you’ve gotta go do it. You’re ready. You’re determined. It’s the best time to do it.”
