In late 2012, Jodi confirmed her dating status with Jolo. Rumors of their separation started when Revilla accidentally shot himself in the process of cleaning his gun. This happened after the arrest of his father, Senator Bong Revilla.
It wasn’t until her interview in ‘Tonight With Boy Abunda’ in June that she admitted that they’ve gone their separate ways and that it was a mutual decision for both parties.
In the same interview she also left this quote, “We should never apologize for having high standards in love, because the right man, or the man who really wants to be in your life will rise up to meet those standards,” which earned her praise from people.
She was previously married to Panfilo ‘Pampi’ Lacson Jr., son of politician Panfilo ‘Ping’ Lacson Sr., for 6 years and shared a son with him.
Is she closing her doors for another love?
Jodi expressed her contentment in her life at present and that she doesn’t feel the need to pressure herself into entering a relationship so soon.
One of the things she’s looking forward to these days is her film with Director Erik Matti.
Given that this is the first time for her to work with the renowned film maker, Jodi didn’t hide the fact that she feels intimidated, but that didn’t stop her excitement from working with the director.
The actress just recently starred with Richard Yap and Ian Veneracion in the romantic-comedy film, ‘The Achy Breaky Hearts’ directed by Antoinette Jadaone. Meanwhile, her upcoming film with Matti is said to be a ‘psychological-thriller’ according to the actress.
Matti was the director of last year’s controversial and critically acclaimed Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry, ‘Honor Thy Father,’ which was removed from the list of ‘Best Picture’ nominees by the award giving body.
