It was the first time Gomez has visited the country, following her cancellation of her ‘Stars Dance’ tour back in 2013 due to personal reasons.
However, it did not stop her from bringing nostalgia to the audience when she performed ‘Love You Like A Love Song,’ in which she introduced by ‘doing a throwback since she has not been here before.’ The crowd also applauded songs from her current album, the most popular tracks being ‘Same Old Love,’ ‘Good For You,’ ‘Hands To Myself,’ and ‘Kill ‘Em With Kindness.’
To a bigger delight of her fans, Gomez informed that she is in the middle of creating a new album and even performed a new song of hers entitled ‘Feel Me.’ She shared how she vents her feelings of frustrations on writing new pieces for her upcoming album.
Although all good things come to an end, Gomez left with a promise to return.
Darren Espanto was the foreign singer’s opening act, performing ‘Starlight,’ ‘Centuries,’ and Little Mix’s ‘Secret Love Song.'
Several celebrities were also spotted in the concert, such as Liza Soberano who posted a photo of her and Gomez on her social media accounts.
Other Kapamilya stars were also present; ‘Dolce Amore’ actor Enrique Gil, Alexa Ilacad, Nash Aguas, and rumored couple Diego Loyzaga and Sofia Andres.
One half of the phenomenal AlDub love team, Maine Mendoza, graced the concert as well.
Actress Bela Padilla watched the show with Sarah Lahbati, who was also accompanied by beau Richard Guiterrez.
Before her Manila concert, Selena Gomez also performed in other Asian countries, namely Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia.
