Marvel has just released the teaser of its newest addition to the superhero franchise - the sorcerer supreme, Doctor Strange.
Played by Benedict Cumberbatch in the eponymous role, it tells the story of a neurosurgeon who becomes a student of the mystic arts, bending reality and seeing the world as it is: a multiverse.
The film also boasts a star studded cast, despite vital details about the characters still kept from public knowledge.
What we do know, however, is that Mads Mikkelsen would play the role of the main villain, but the character is yet to be disclosed. Fans of the TV series would remember Mikkelsen for his role as Hannibal.
Chiwetel Ejiofor would also play a villain in the film, Baron Mordo, although his role was said to be too complicated to just fit under the villain category.
Rachel McAdams, who recently graced the screens as an investigative journalist on Spotlight, would now play a surgeon in the film, who would serve as the Doctor's link to his past life when he becomes the supreme sorcerer.
The Ancient One, responsible for training pupils to be the next Sorcerer Supreme, is portrayed as an androgynous mystic, albeit being referred to the female pronoun.
It features a bald Tilda Swinton in the role, who could also be remembered for playing another androgynous character, an angel, in the film adaptation of Constantine.
Doctor Strange is the fourteenth film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Directed by Scott Derrickson with a screenplay by Jon Spaiths and C. Robert Cargill, the movie is set to hit the screens on November 4, 2016.
