HIGHLIGHT: "The Lady Justice." That could be the hypothetical title if a biographical movie about her life will be done says former justice secretary, Leile De Lima. And she wants actress Dawn Zulueta to portray her.
In a rare opportunity to see her joke around, the aspiring senator and former Department of Justice secretary De Lima said that if her life story is to be made, it should revolve on her life as public servant.
"That's the story of my life, you know, 'yung mga nangri-raid, 'yung lumalaban para sa katarungan, gusto kong mag-focus [ang film] sa nagawa ko, 'yung paglaki ko. Paano ako pinalaki ng parents ko, at paano ako nagtrabaho sa mga ibinigay sa aking trabaho,
(..I do raids, I fight for justice, I want the focus of the film to be about what I've done, how I was raise by may parents ad how I performed tasks that were given to me.)"
Actress Dawn Zulueta, often deemed one of the most timeless faces in showbiz, is also married to a politician -2nd District Representative of Davao Del Norte Anton Lagdameo.
De Lima is now vying for a seat in Senate under administration lineup in Liberal Party and manages to secure a spot in the top 12 according to surveys.
One of the lady justice's most notable acts was when she ordered the immigration bureau to put on watchlist former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and first gentleman Mike Arroyo citing national interest as reason in connection to the plunder charges against the couple.
